Newsletters clutter our inboxes. If you are like me, you don't even open them anymore. So I have a new plan.
These newsletters have become a chore and take valuable time away from my writing. I want to keep in touch with my readers, but I think they would rather I wrote books faster than send out a bunch of these things. I have been trying to figure out how to keep in touch with all you wonderful people without using a newsletter.
Here is what I've come up with: I am on Facebook a LOT. So I have set up a group there called Team Blake. I will share exciting sneak peeks, have contests, post excerpts that no one else will get, and interact with my readers in a way other authors don't believe is possible. Readers can talk to me through comments. I have been doing this for a short time with the group as a closed group, and it's been a wonderful experience. With your help we can make this work. If you want to join, go HERE.
If this doesn't sound like your cup of tea--maybe you hate Facebook--you can keep up with my books in other ways. You can visit my website each week to see if I have a new book coming out.
If you don't like either of those options, both Amazon and Smashwords allow you to follow an author. They will notify you every time I have a book coming out. All you have to do is look me up by name.
Still not happy?
You can follow me on Twitter. I am listed under @kasiblake.
I also have author pages on Facebook under both Kasi Blake and Vampires Rule.
Then there is Wattpad where I am putting Vampires Rule and Bait for people to read so I can find new readers. You can find me and my stories there under my name.
Now do you see why it's hard for me to find time to write? I am all over social media. :)
If you just want a book alert sent to you when something is coming out, you can contact me, and I will put you on the newsletter list.
Anyway, I hope you like one of these options. If you know of a great way for me to keep in touch with readers without using a newsletter, feel free to let me know.
